Amy was trained at Oxford Brooks and has been teaching Maths for 5 years. Amy began teaching with the Mastery approach 3 years ago, although the approach was very much adopted during her training at Brooks. She has found teaching for mastery to have a more positive impact on herself as a teacher as well as pupils and enjoys teaching middle to low ability pupils the most.
She works closely with a feeder primary schools to bridge the gap between primary and secondary maths learning. In addition, Amy is responsible for creating lesson plans and resources for KS3 for the whole department alongside another Mastery Coordinator.
